I stumbled across this little baby today as I was browsing though some of my favorite tech-toy blogs. Seems that a company named Shiro out of Singapore has developed and amazing little music/video player with solar cells on the back of it that can be used to recharge it. Skip the middle man here, just leave it in the sun with the solar side up and expect a fully charged device within 4-6 hours. One full charge will get you up to 35 hours of music play, or 7 hours of video play, or any combination of the two. It comes stocked with 16 Gigs of storage which should be ample for quite a bit of data right off the bat. It also comes equipped with an FM radio receiver, which is a nifty little bonus. Basically, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these but we all are gonna have to wait a little while before the company starts distributing these things worldwide. As of now, they are only available at retail outlets in Singapore.
